Welcome to our School Council page. Sandowne has a very committed and involved Council. Along with very active fundraising , our Council is involved with countless initiatives:
- Volunteering at the school
- Organizing and/or collaborating on school-wide events such as dance-a-thons, Family nights, spring picnic and classroom celebrations
- Researching and running fundraising initiatives for the school
- Community support such as the Sandowne Helping Sandowne initiative
Our Council meets from 7 – 8pm on the second Wednesday of most months. Our remaining meetings for this year are as follows: February 7, April 3 and May 8
This year, our Council Chair is Alex Weston. Steve Kingston is our Treasurer and Amanda Leckie is our Secretary.

As a council, we’ve been able to support class field trips, in-school learning extensions, author visits and technology replacement in recent years. Your generous contributions have been a real difference in our students’ experiences at school!
