Welcome to our School Council page. Sandowne has a very committed and involved Council, and we’re looking forward to an even more diverse council with the participation of many new Sandowne parents and caregivers (formerly Elizabeth Ziegler). Along with very active fundraising , our Council is involved with countless initiatives:
- Volunteering at the school
- Organizing and/or collaborating on school-wide events such as family nights and school celebrations
- Researching and running fundraising initiatives for the school that offer opportunities to further enrich our students’ school experiences
- Community support such as the Sandowne Helping Sandowne initiative
Our School Council meets once a month from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Upcoming meeting dates include: October 7, November 11, December 9, January 6, February 10, March 10, April 7, May 12, and June 9. School-Day messages will be sent as reminders. Most meetings will also have a virtual option making it possible for you to attend from home. If you are unfamiliar with the Council and its role, we hope you will attend an upcoming meeting to learn more!
This year our Council Co-Chairs are Hilory Steffen and Tiffany Hahn. Kyla Core is our Treasurer. These positions were voted on at the first Council Meeting of the 2026/2027 School Year.

As a council, we’ve been able to support class field trips, in-school learning extensions, author visits and technology replacement in recent years. This year, council is also committed to supporting our nutrition program to help ensure that all students have access to food. Your generous contributions have been a real difference in our students’ experiences at school!
Parent Involvement Committee
