It is with very heavy hearts that the Sandowne community mourns the loss of Ms. April Murray.

Ms. Murray taught Grade 1 and was a valued member of Sandowne School. Her loss touches our entire community. Ms. Murray was warm, kind-hearted, and delighted in all students, not just those in her class. Her classroom was calm and welcoming. She was beloved by her students and colleagues. 

In honour of Ms. Murray, the flags at the school and the Waterloo Region District School Board Education Centre will be flown at half mast this week.

Our thoughts are with the Murray family at this time.
